In a somewhat busy town of Plano Texas, where everyday life is mixed with dreams and ambitions, there's a story about incredible strength and spirit. Felipe Rodríguez, a 41-year-old Mexican American Marine veteran, shows a rare mix of bravery and determination that goes beyond the battlefield.
His journey isn't about big awards or making the news; it's about the small, personal victories he achieves while facing tough challenges. When his kidneys failed in January 2016,Felipe fought a different kind of battle—dealing with regular dialysis, trying to stay strong physically and mentally, and struggling with the financial burden that came with it. Living on limited income from SSDI and part-time work as a trainer, Felipe mostly ate eggs and often went without food to make his supplies last longer. He learned a lot about fasting and its benefits, so he’d eat scrambled eggs, egg salad, deviled eggs, or boiled eggs.
Felipe's story isn't just about battling illness; it's about the strength of his spirit. While going through dialysis three times a week, he finds comfort and strength in lifting weights and being part of the CrossFit community at Alpha 1 Athlete. His dedication to competing, even with his physical challenges, shows the deep resilience he's built from his time in the Marines.
Even though life throws challenges his way, Felipe creates his own path by turning his garage into a personal gym. His story is one of overcoming seemingly impossible obstacles, showing that true strength comes from the heart and soul, not just the body.
Welcome to the story of Felipe Rodríguez—a tale of bravery, persistence, and the unbreakable spirit of a Marine.

What if the hardest seasons of your life were not punishment — but preparation?
In The READY Method, Marine veteran Felipe Rodriguez shares a leadership system forged through adversity and refined under pressure.
From graduating at the top of his Marine class…
To rebuilding after incarceration…
To competing in CrossFit events while on dialysis…
To receiving a life-saving kidney transplant…
Rodriguez learned one principle that applies to every arena of life:
You do not rise to the moment.
You fall to your preparation.
The READY Method is built on five pillars:
R — Responsibility
Own what is within your control.
E — Effort
Consistency closes gaps talent cannot.
A — Adaptability
Strength under change.
D — Discipline
Structure before pressure.
Y — Your Standard
What you tolerate becomes your future.
This is not a motivational book.
It is a practical leadership framework for veterans, entrepreneurs, managers, parents, and anyone who refuses to lower their standard.
If life tests you tomorrow — will you be ready?

Life doesn’t wait for you to be ready.
It tests you first.
In FORGED READY, Marine veteran Felipe Rodriguez shares a powerful true story of discipline, adversity, and personal transformation.
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Felipe’s life took a difficult turn that led to incarceration and years of rebuilding. Inside the prison walls, he discovered something that would eventually change the course of his life: discipline.
What began as a commitment to physical training became a mindset that shaped the way he approached every challenge that followed — including kidney failure, years of dialysis, and a life-saving transplant.
Through those experiences, Felipe developed what he now calls The READY Method:
Responsibility
Take ownership of your life and decisions.
Effort
Show up and give your best even when no one is watching.
Adaptability
Adjust when life doesn’t go according to plan.
Discipline
Build the habits that carry you through adversity.
Your Standard
Live in a way that sets the example for others.
More than just a memoir, FORGED READY is a story about rebuilding your life, raising your standards, and preparing yourself for the moments that matter most.
Because when life calls your number…
the question is simple:
Will you be READY?
